I basically spammed the x button while running thru the woods, and eventually got the 5 kills. MaliceMike I dont remember for sure about the foxes, let alone any animals locations.

Just make sure you have your bow or pistol which I prefer and hit Y for that quick, instant kill when you DO see the animal. DillionDay, I'm pretty sure I found hares on that ridge north and over the river from the lumber mill, and south of the homestead.
